The Story
one of Paul's oldest and dearest friends in Nashville is Brent Truitt. Brent toured with Dixie Chicks, Dolly plus others and is a Steeldriver but in the 1990s he wanted to produce albums so he and TP got to work. his studio, the Cave, has become a musical home to most of Paul & Kristie’s recordings and it all started with “Can’t Find my Way” in 1994/5. lots of friends helped out and the album won many Nashville awards for self released albums. several Grammy awards later Brent is still making amazing records. friends refer to this song as “the Hit” since it is always a highlight of Pickin’ parties in the Nashville area. it is, however, only a “hit” at parties around town. there is a “how to” video on YouTube if you feel like attempting a challenging acoustic guitar part.
