About

Scott Kirby is a Key West-based singer-songwriter and finger-style acoustic guitarist who calls himself a direct descendant of the 1970s singer-songwriter movement. Originally from Penacook, New Hampshire, he moved to Key West in 1988 and built a career performing trop-rock and folk, encouraged early on by Shel Silverstein and Peter Mayer. A Trop Rock Music Association academy member, he co-founded Key West's Smokin' Tuna Saloon, longtime home of the Key West Songwriters' Festival, and his best-known songs include "Lucky Enough."
