Sammy Arriaga is a first-generation Cuban-American artist working at the intersection of country and Latin music. Born in Hialeah, Florida, he taught himself guitar via YouTube, competed on American Idol in 2011, and then moved to Nashville to pursue a "Country Latino" sound. His 2021 debut album Boots x Beats pairs classic country flavor with programmed beats, and his catalog includes bilingual singles such as "Left My Heart In Texas" and "Moves Like Mexico."
