The Story
writing this song was an exercise in Escapism which is how I see the Trop Rock world. the idea here is that even if you are stuck at home, escape is still possible until you can ACTUALLY head to your “happy place” our favourite Nashville pickers came together to record this song and I was very fortunate to have Coral Reefer and Nashville session superstar percussionist Eric Darken drive the groove on this song. notice the masks in the control room photos we were one of the first recording sessions to happen after the stay at home of Covid rules was lifted. “you can even simply raise the hear and dance along to this Island beat"
